Palau de les Arts, a tidal wave of art. Enjoy Valencia with TARONJA SCHOOL!
Whether you wish to marvel at the
beauty and uniqueness of the building and its surroundings, or have the
privilege of watching one of the productions staged here, one thing is
for certain - a visit to the Palau de les Arts (Palau de les Arts Reina
Sofía), in Valencia's City of Arts and Sciences, is inevitable.
The majestic Palau de les Arts is preparing to stage Puccini's famous opera, Madame Butterfly, a
production that has been publicly and critically acclaimed at the
Washington National Opera and the Marinski Theatre in St. Petersburg,
and following these successful runs, it is now coming to the Palau de
les Arts, where it will be performed on 15th, 18th, 22nd, 27th and 30th December, and 3rd January.
Furthermore, the French conductorLorin Maazel and the Region of Valencia Orchestra will be giving an emotive concert at the Opera House auditorium on 20th December, performing the music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky, The Nutcracker and Swan Lake, among others.
Set in the City of Arts and Sciences, the innovative architecture of
the Opera House, spread over forty thousand square metres and seventy
five metres high, encompasses four spaces capable of staging different
operas, concerts, ballets and plays. It is surrounded by over sixty
thousand square metres of gardens and eleven thousand metres of water
features with footpaths leading around them.
