This biographical dictionary consists out of 50 volumes. Although the presentation only the first 25 volumes of the biographical dictionaries were delivered.  In the next year the other 25 volumes will be worked on and completed. In this ambitious work the lives of the most important persons in the Spanish history until 1950 will be described an also some important exceptions will be given.

In preparation of the biographical dictionary more than five thousand experts have worked on this. Although the work is not only published on paper, it will also be available on the network. The biographical dictionary is in Spanish, but the expectation is that it will be also translated into English. This biographical dictionary is an indispensable tool for understanding the history of Spain.
