a huge powder keg full of music and colour
for five long days, which culminates with
the burning of more than 800 papier-mâché

TOMATINA
During the whole month of July, under a
bright sun, we have the "Feria de Julio"
with plenty of daily activities such as
concerts, open air cinema, bullfights, etc.
Out of the many other festivals happening
in our region, one of the most original
is the world-famous "Tomatina", a festival
held on the third week of August in a village
very near Valencia in
which, after a night of drinking and dancing,
everybody gets involved in a peacefully
wild " Tomato War "!!.

AMERICA'S CUP
Probably due to our sunny and warm climate,
Valencians are kind and happy people, always
willing to help the foreign students
in any situation.These are only
some of the features which have contributed
to Valencia being chosen
to celebrate the most important sailing
event in the world, the America's
Cup , in 2007. As you can see,
Valencia is a perfect
city to spend some time learning
Spanish and having fun while you
speak Spanish all the
time!.
