Orígen de la expresión «meter la pata«: la explicación más probable, si bien hay alguna otra, es que está expresión esté relacionada con el mundo de la caza. En español llamamos «pata» a las extremidades de los animales. Por eso cuando un animal mete la pata en una trampa de un cazador, ha cometido un error. Ha metido la pata.

ESTAR CELOSO o TENER ENVIDIA

¿Sabes distinguir entre los celos y la envidia? En este lección te explicamos las diferencias.   Tener celos o estar celoso: Sospechar, estar inquieto o inquieta  porque la persona ha puesto su cariño en otra persona.  Ejemplo: Alejandro llama por teléfono a su amigo Víctor.–    Víctor, he discutido con mi novia otra vez. Sergio la llama por teléfono todo el tiempo. No lo soporto.–    ¿Otra vez tienes celos de Sergio? Es el mejor amigo de su hermano, y además tiene novia.–    Lo sé, es una tontería. Pero no puedo evitar estar celoso. Tener envidia o ser un envidioso: Desear alguna cosa que tiene otra persona.Ejemplo: Maria y Clara están tomando un café.–    Clara, ¡a Ana le ha tocado la lotería!–    ¿Otra vez ? ¡Siempre gana premios! Excellent school that really focuses on the community element for the students. Teachers get involved in the activities, which is a cool sight to see, as you can get to know them outside the classroom. The lessons are well done also, as each teacher brings a different style. I also love the format of the schedule, in that, the time of classes swaps daily, and so does your teacher. Keeps things fresh. Lastly, Stefano is an EXCELLENT activity coordinator! He really enjoys being around the students and is professional.

Zeer goede en leuke school Samen met mijn echtgenoot 1 week intensief Spaanse les gevolgd. Alles goed geregeld, modern lesmateriaal en prettige manier van (interactief) lesgeven. Fijne school voor jong en ‘oud’! Hoewel wij veelal niet deelnamen aan de activiteiten zijn ze erg leuk, zeker voor jongeren! Deze school is echt een aanrader!

Entering the school through a beautiful massive and decorative door (on a street where you’d love to have your coffee and lunchbreaks), the inside will surprise you even more: an explosion of colours, art and atmosphere. And that’s what the teachers carry out too: such passion and enthusiasm.
But the learning doesn’t stop as soon as class comes to an end.
Taronja organises plenty of very fun, optional activities. In the afternoon, evening and even in the weekends. No chance to get bored here… I’m going to stay longer!

Moderne en leuke manier van lesgeven Ik heb hier twee weken een cursus gevolgd en wat me vooral opviel is dat er op een moderne manier wordt les gegeven. Niet 'ouderwets' uit saaie boeken maar met steeds wisselende soorten oefeningen en gericht op de praktijk.
De staff en leraren zij over het algemeen erg enthousiast wat de hele ervaring exra leuk maakt.

Very Worthwhile It's been 50 years since I went to 'school' and it was with much trepidation that I booked to go to the Taronja school. I had imagined that I would be the old man amongst youngsters in the class, but although I was the oldest there, I found we represented a good cross section of ages.
The first couple of hours in class was rather difficult, but that was because I felt a long way behind the other students regarding ability. There were 2 reasons for this, firstly the first subject of the day was about regular and irregular verbs, which is, at least for me and some of the others, difficult, but I soon began to make headway thanks to the excellent teacher. Secondly, I really should have attended the previous week as well; purely my mistake when I booked online.
When I look back at the week at the Taronja school and the amount I have learnt I am very impressed and I would go back for more but unfortunately it's a very long way from home and being a family man I just can't justify it but if it was within daily travelling distance I would be happy to spend many weeks there. I am considering using their online courses, but we'll see.
For anybody thinking about going to the Taronja school, just do it!

Taronja is an excellent place to learn Spanish, the lessons are well prepared, interesting and full of surprise. There are also diversified social and cultural activities at a very moderate price. The school offers rooms in shared flats, what suited me best. Everybody is very helpful and sociable . Taronja is the perfect place for getting introduced into Spanish culture. It was my second time at Taronja and I shall come back!
