I spent a fantastic week at Taronja in May 2019. The booking process was really straightforward (and I appreciated being able to sort out my accommodation through the school too) albeit a little embarrassing when recording a video of myself to have my level assessed 🙈. The booking information I received indicated that someone would be there to greet me at the accommodation upon arrival, but this wasn't the case – I didn't mind though because I'm a grown up and don't really need looking out for like that. The teachers and supporting staff were really friendly and helpful. The classes were challenging and taught entirely in Spanish, which I think is really beneficial and, for the level I was at (~B1), falling back to English shouldn't really be necessary. In the week I was there we alternated between days studying grammar (the present subjunctive) and more 'relaxing' days where we dived deeper into other topics such as ser/estar and por/para (though I would have been happier doing even more grammar studies, but maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment). I think what really stood out about my week at Taronja was the effort put into the social activities. There were things to do every evening and a weekend excursion had been organized too (but unfortunately I had to fly home that day and couldn't attend), so even if you arrive as a solo learner/traveller, you'll be able to find people to hang out with fairly quickly. In case it isn't clear, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend studying at Taronja, however I feel that attending for 1 week simply wasn't enough. Many of the people I met were staying for any amount of time from 3 weeks to 3 months. It's for this reason that I intend to return to Taronja next month for 2 weeks to try and really press on with improving my Spanish (and escape the miserable Dutch summer).

Last year I attended a Spanish course in Valencia. Before I made my decision where to go to improve my language I had got very good references about Taronja school. I did not hesitate to go there. My experience with educational process, free time activities at school was very positive. All teaches were well-trained, friendly and very skillful. The classes were full of fun and plenty of new information. Tuesday paella parties were great. All the food prepared by Fernando those days and during the cuisine classes was really delicious! The cultural lessons, walking tours were very interesting. However, the best discovery I made in Valencia thanks to Taronja was the Micro Theatre, which I will certainly visit each time I am in this marvelous city again! Everything was perfect since the first day.. from the first to the last day I had a wonderful time with open and nice people around. The school was well organized, the teachers friendly and competent, and especially the interns did a really good job with the organization of activities which made it easy to connect with other students. I really can recommend the school.. thank you for 8 amazing weeks! ☺️😊

Brilliant school, good activities Absolutely brilliant, I've attended other schools to learn Spainish, and by far is the best. Good teachers, good learning pace, lots of vocab work and lots of opportunities to practice speaking. Classes are good mix of grammar, and practical things to say and there out of school options are by far the best. If you're learning in Valencia this is the school I recommend to study at by far!!

The school is located in the center of the city and easy to reach by public transportation or by walking. Everybody at the office is friendly and very helpful, they listen and understand your needs. They help you not only with school stuff but also with the matters of daily life and culture. Teachers are always prepared for the classes and they teach with an effective fun way. They understand your level and find out a way to make you understand and learn in a supportive way. Modern methods like internet and interactive whiteboard are used during the classes , which make the lessons flow easily. Grammar , reading, conversation, listening are well balanced. In a week different teachers are teaching in any given class that provides different styles, techniques and accents. Besides regular classes there are more classes to choose from ( like conversation ) according to one’s needs. Every week there are some activities, day trips and social gatherings so one can learn and experience more about the culture. The timetable of classes is constantly rotating hereby assigning a morning class on a day and an afternoon class on another day. Altogether it makes learning Spanish and Spanish culture easy, fun and effective process. Additionally Valencia is a very beautiful city with lovely locals. The city offers almost everything. I have had a great experience with Taronja. Last year, I tried learning Spanish for 2 months and I came back this year to improve my Spanish. The school has a very helpful staff who goes above & beyond to help with all you need. Almost all the students I talked to at school never wanted to leave if they had the option to stay. They have daily activities so you can get to know a lot people and find out more about Spain (cuisine, museums, history and much more). My favorite one has been the paella parties that happen every Tuesday. Especially when they happen at the beach. I also liked the bachata/salsa lessons a lot! All the activities are very well priced so the students don't have any excuse to miss them. Big shoutout to Stefano and her team for all the amazing activities. There are a variety of instructors with different backgrounds which helped me learn about different cultures without visiting their cities or countries. They are all super helpful when you have questions during the classes. The school also offers variety of accommodation options such as staying with other students in the heart of Valencia or staying with a Spanish family. This is a great opportunity to get the know new people if you are new to the city. Elena was able to help me with all my requests from the first day until today. Overall, I recommend Taronja without any doubt to anyone who wants to learn Spanish, explore Valencia, and more importantly have fun! 🙂

Dear Taronja, Allow me to express my gratitude to you all. This last month has been a quiet a journey for me and I am grateful to learn and grow alongside incredible souls. A huge thank you to all my teachers and the whole team at Taronja for your dedication and commitment. To my teachers, I know I have not been the easiest student but you guys are awesome. Thank you for your patience, encouragement and guidance ( especially Nestor & Micaela 🤍 ). I am going back home more bold and I will definitely continue to work on my Spanish skills.
