La “caña” es el tallo de un tipo de planta (gramíneas): es alargado y hueco por dentro, como la del bambú; aunque la palabra “caña” también tiene otros significados…

¡UNA CAÑA POR FAVOR!  ¡NO, MEJOR DOS!
Cuando en España vamos a un bar y queremos una cerveza podemos pedirla en botella o bote, pero también tenemos la opción de pedir un vaso de cerveza: pedimos “una caña”.

ME HE COMPRADO UNAS BOTAS DE CAÑA ALTA EN LAS REBAJAS
   También utilizamos “caña” cuando hablamos de botas: si llegan hasta la rodilla son botas “de caña alta”, y si solo llegan hasta la mitad de la pierna son botas de “media caña”.

¡DALE CAÑA!
    También tenemos la expresión “dar caña” o “meter caña”, que significa <<aumentar la velocidad cuando haces algo, darse prisa>> : Si no te das caña no podrás acabar el trabajo.
Aunque también puede significar <<hablar mal de alguien>>.

¡QUÉ CAÑA!
   Y una de las más importantes: cuando queremos expresar nuestra admiración o sorpresa por algo, decimos “¡Qué caña!”

Cuando + indicativo, cuando + subjuntivo

En esta lección de español os queremos explicar las diferencias entre las estructuras «cuando + indicativo» y «cuando + subjuntivo». 1. usamos CUANDO + INDICATIVE para hablar de una acción o rutina que no es en el futuro. Por ejemplo: Cuando toco la guitarra, soy feliz / Cuando iba a la escuela, veía a mis amigos. 2. Usamos CUANDO + SUBJUNTIVO para hablar de acciones en el futuro: Por ejemplo: Cuando tenga dinero, me compraré una casa grande / Cuando cumplas 18 años te compraré una moto.

Diferencias entre «allá», «haya», «halla»

«Allá», «haya», «halla», seguramente has oído estas palabras que tienen significados completamente diferentes. En esta lección te explicamos las diferencias. De estas tres palabras, “allá” es la más fácil de distinguir, por su grafía que lleva una tilde, y su pronunciación aguda. Sin embargo, “halla” y “haya”, son palabras que la mayoría de hispanohablantes pronuncian igual.  Vamos a conocer estas tres palabras un poco mejor.  “HALLA” Es una forma del verbo «hallar”, que significa encontrar a alguien o algo. Descubrir una verdad o entender una cosa después de pensar y reflexionar sobre ella.  Equivale a la tercera persona de singular del presente indicativo y a la segunda persona de singular del modo imperativo. El verbo “hallar” también se puede encontrar muchas veces en su forma reflexiva “hallarse” (equivalente a encontrarse). Presente de indicativo (yo) hallo (tú) hallas (él) halla (nosotros) hallamos (vosotros) halláis (ellos) hallan Imperativo (tú) halla (él / ella )halle (nosotros) hallemos (vosotros) hallad (ellos) hallen Ejemplos: Ella siempre halla la manera de escaparse de los problemas / Ella siempre encuentra la manera de escaparse de los problemas.  Me hallo en medio de un bosque muy especial / Me encuentro en medio de un bosque muy especial.  “HAYA” Ahora se trata de una forma de la conjugación del verbo “haber”. La primera y la tercera persona del presente de subjuntivo. Y sus principal función es aparecer como auxiliar en tiempos compuestos. Presente de subjuntivo (yo) haya (tú) hayas (él) haya (nosotros) hayamos (vosotros) hayáis (ellos) hayan Ejemplos: No creo que haya víctimas en el accidente. Cuando haya comido iré a verte.  Cuando hayas visitado a tu madre me avisas.  Cuando hayas terminado el trabajo tienes que ir a comprar.  Explíquenos lo que haya visto. Que haya paz en el mundo.  Como último apunte, “haya” puede referirse a un nombre de árbol.  Me gusta mucho el haya de tu jardín.  “ALLÁ” Es un adverbio de lugar y se emplea para indicar un lugar que está alejado de nuestra posición.  Al llevar una tilde en su forma escrita y pronunciarse de manera aguda, no es complicado distinguir la palabra “allá” en una frase. Finally I totally recommend Taronja in Valencia!
I have learned a lot en espagñol!
Before my course I could speak nada, but afterwards not directly fluently, but I can talk with people and friends now de España, who I met here during my stay and of participating on actividades de escuela.
Everybody is very polite and open for questions, especially about espagñol 🙂
Summary I would choose this escuela otra vez!

Ausgezeichnete Sprachschule Ich hatte 1 Woche Intensivkurs mit 1 Std. Konversationsworkshop gebucht. Bei Anmeldung musste ein Einstufungstest (schriftlich und mündlich per Handy-Video oder Telefonat) ausgefüllt werden. Am ersten Tag gab es ein erstes Treffen, bei dem die Kurseinteilung erfolgte und die Organisation der Schule erklärte wurde. Unterricht war vormittags (9-12.45 Uhr) und nachmittags (14.30-18.15 Uhr) im täglichen Wechsel, dazu Konversation etwa von 13.30-14.30 Uhr (nur in der ersten Woche inklusive). Gruppengröße offiziell bis 10 Personen, meist waren aber nur 5-6 anwesend. Zusammensetzung international, Alter von 18 bis Ü70, wobei die Jüngeren meist über mehrere Monate bleiben. Ich war im Fortgeschrittenen-Kurs (B2) und habe viel gelernt, insbesondere meine Unsicherheit beim Sprechen konnte ich überwinden. Die Stimmung war ausgezeichnet, wir haben viel gelacht, über alle möglichen Themen geredet und lernten auch viele Wörter der Umgangssprache.
Jeden Abend fanden verschiedene Aktivitäten statt, bei denen man sich mit anderen Studenten und den Lehrern austauschen konnte (ebenfalls fast ausschließlich auf Spanisch). Auch am Wochenende wurden Ausflüge angeboten. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

Excellent school that really focuses on the community element for the students. Teachers get involved in the activities, which is a cool sight to see, as you can get to know them outside the classroom. The lessons are well done also, as each teacher brings a different style. I also love the format of the schedule, in that, the time of classes swaps daily, and so does your teacher. Keeps things fresh. Lastly, Stefano is an EXCELLENT activity coordinator! He really enjoys being around the students and is professional.

Learning Spanish in taronja was one of the best decisions of my life. I met a lot of great people and made new friends from different countries. I had the curso intensivo and conversation. This allowed me to improve my spanish considerably. We also had interesting activities every day. There was also plenty of nightlife. I can only recommend taronja to anyone who wants to improve their spanish skills and simply have an unforgettable time! Thank you very much !

Taronja is a great Spanish school and also great fun! I have been to Taronja twice before, both times for 2 weeks of their intensive course. The course is for 20 lessons a week, over 4 hours each day Monday to Friday and there are also lots of cultural and social activities run by the school for students, normally without extra charges. These include cooking presentations at the school, cultural walks, lessons off-site at interesting locations, group outings to restaurants, bars and other attractions and cultural presentations at lunch-times as well as the weekly paella party for current and past students.
Teaching is done in small groups (6-10) of people with a similar level of Spanish and is done in a creative way and all in Spanish. As well as following a broad curriculum and working towards the standard learning levels, the lessons include a lot of fun activities and all sorts of diversions into exploring Spanish language and culture.
I can recommend this school very highly and Valencia is a beautiful city well-worth exploring. It is especially good during the Las Fallas festival 15-19 March each year and I will be returning to Taronja again this year 2019 to see it.

No Regrets! Ero alla ricerca di un'esperienza estiva differente, qualcosa che potesse permettermi di accrescere il mio bagaglio culturale e perché no di crescere, conoscere gente migliorare una lingua che sempre mi ha affascinato, così ho deciso: me ne vado in Spagna, a Valencia (ne ho sentito parlare così tanto che mi son detto devo assolutamente andarci). Così inizio la mia ricerca di scuole, ne vedo un pò inizio a fare le prime indagini perché comunque si vuol sempre andare in un posto che ti faccia star bene, ne vedo una, due però nessuna che mi abbia fatto scattare la "scintilla" finché non mi imbatto nella scuola TARONJA, inizio a visitare il loro sito a leggere un pò di recensioni cosi li contatto, è che dire i piccoli dettagli fanno la differenza, assistenza e cordialità fin da subito, dalla prima email è cosi ho deciso che è qui che avrei passato le mie 2 settimane. Un'esperienza stupenda che porterò sempre con me, che non vedo l'ora di ripetere il prima possibile. In Taronja si respira un ambiente familiare, tutto lo staff è sempre disponibile, simpatico e meritano un sentito complimento. I prof sono tutti giovani quindi imparare e migliorarsi diventa molto più facile. Cosa fondamentale sono le attività organizzate dalla scuola avrete sempre qualcosa da fare e non è mai qualcosa di noioso! Sono felicissimo della mia scelta!

I learned a lot, had a great amount of fun and gained new friends during my two weeks in Taronja. The school offers a lot of fun activities which I would recommend anyone to participate in. The personnel are very helpful with any questions you might have. The teachers I had were great. It was learning based on a lot of interactions and dialogs as it should be. I will definitely come back for more studies and adventures with Taronja.
