La “caña” es el tallo de un tipo de planta (gramíneas): es alargado y hueco por dentro, como la del bambú; aunque la palabra “caña” también tiene otros significados…

¡UNA CAÑA POR FAVOR!  ¡NO, MEJOR DOS!
Cuando en España vamos a un bar y queremos una cerveza podemos pedirla en botella o bote, pero también tenemos la opción de pedir un vaso de cerveza: pedimos “una caña”.

ME HE COMPRADO UNAS BOTAS DE CAÑA ALTA EN LAS REBAJAS
   También utilizamos “caña” cuando hablamos de botas: si llegan hasta la rodilla son botas “de caña alta”, y si solo llegan hasta la mitad de la pierna son botas de “media caña”.

¡DALE CAÑA!
    También tenemos la expresión “dar caña” o “meter caña”, que significa <<aumentar la velocidad cuando haces algo, darse prisa>> : Si no te das caña no podrás acabar el trabajo.
Aunque también puede significar <<hablar mal de alguien>>.

¡QUÉ CAÑA!
   Y una de las más importantes: cuando queremos expresar nuestra admiración o sorpresa por algo, decimos “¡Qué caña!”

Diferencias entre «allá», «haya», «halla»

«Allá», «haya», «halla», seguramente has oído estas palabras que tienen significados completamente diferentes. En esta lección te explicamos las diferencias. De estas tres palabras, “allá” es la más fácil de distinguir, por su grafía que lleva una tilde, y su pronunciación aguda. Sin embargo, “halla” y “haya”, son palabras que la mayoría de hispanohablantes pronuncian igual.  Vamos a conocer estas tres palabras un poco mejor.  “HALLA” Es una forma del verbo «hallar”, que significa encontrar a alguien o algo. Descubrir una verdad o entender una cosa después de pensar y reflexionar sobre ella.  Equivale a la tercera persona de singular del presente indicativo y a la segunda persona de singular del modo imperativo. El verbo “hallar” también se puede encontrar muchas veces en su forma reflexiva “hallarse” (equivalente a encontrarse). Presente de indicativo (yo) hallo (tú) hallas (él) halla (nosotros) hallamos (vosotros) halláis (ellos) hallan Imperativo (tú) halla (él / ella )halle (nosotros) hallemos (vosotros) hallad (ellos) hallen Ejemplos: Ella siempre halla la manera de escaparse de los problemas / Ella siempre encuentra la manera de escaparse de los problemas.  Me hallo en medio de un bosque muy especial / Me encuentro en medio de un bosque muy especial.  “HAYA” Ahora se trata de una forma de la conjugación del verbo “haber”. La primera y la tercera persona del presente de subjuntivo. Y sus principal función es aparecer como auxiliar en tiempos compuestos. Presente de subjuntivo (yo) haya (tú) hayas (él) haya (nosotros) hayamos (vosotros) hayáis (ellos) hayan Ejemplos: No creo que haya víctimas en el accidente. Cuando haya comido iré a verte.  Cuando hayas visitado a tu madre me avisas.  Cuando hayas terminado el trabajo tienes que ir a comprar.  Explíquenos lo que haya visto. Que haya paz en el mundo.  Como último apunte, “haya” puede referirse a un nombre de árbol.  Me gusta mucho el haya de tu jardín.  “ALLÁ” Es un adverbio de lugar y se emplea para indicar un lugar que está alejado de nuestra posición.  Al llevar una tilde en su forma escrita y pronunciarse de manera aguda, no es complicado distinguir la palabra “allá” en una frase. Cuando + indicativo, cuando + subjuntivo

En esta lección de español os queremos explicar las diferencias entre las estructuras «cuando + indicativo» y «cuando + subjuntivo». 1. usamos CUANDO + INDICATIVE para hablar de una acción o rutina que no es en el futuro. Por ejemplo: Cuando toco la guitarra, soy feliz / Cuando iba a la escuela, veía a mis amigos. 2. Usamos CUANDO + SUBJUNTIVO para hablar de acciones en el futuro: Por ejemplo: Cuando tenga dinero, me compraré una casa grande / Cuando cumplas 18 años te compraré una moto.

Hi guys! I'm Elena, a 30yo Italian girl from Venice. I spent 3 weeks in the beautiful city of Valencia 4 years ago, it was my first vacation in Spain and I decided to start learning the language doing a course in Taronja. What a great choice! Days passed by super quickly, I really enjoyed the time I spent there as I felt part of a huge family. They propose interesting activities every day and night and during the week end, supporting people in interacting and meeting new friends. I learnt a lot, Professors were kind and professional and the method they use is the best I tried up to now. I planned my vacations in Barcelona, Malaga and Madrid, always matching with Spanish lessons, during the following 3 years but Taronja remains my favourite. Swapping courses timing every day gives you a lot of free time to go to the beach or visit the city. Nice idea the cooking lessons, too! Super positive feedback for you guys! Spending eight weeks learning Spanish in Valencia has been a rewarding experience. When I first arrived here, I had a patchy understanding of how basic Spanish grammar works, which gave me a false sense of confidence coming into the country. I was placed into a class that was far too advanced for my level, and I quickly discovered that my listening and speaking skills were practically non-existent. It is fair to say that I was completely baffed in my first week of lessons. I eventually moved down two groups, so I could work on my listening and speaking skills. This level was much more enjoyable, as I wasn’t in a permanent state of confusion. I have noticed my progress continue to grow steadily over the weeks. Now, I feel like I have enough Spanish to get by on my own and develop my skill independently. Understanding street chit-chat is becoming easier, watching Spanish T.V. is becoming more enjoyable, and I can usually interpret written texts. The teachers at Taronja are young, fun and competent people. Rather than forcing us to fill out boring and repetitive exercise sheets, they make learning more enjoyable by providing innovative activities and games to keep the classroom engaged. The timetable is constantly rotating, so we can benefit from various styles and techniques of each teacher. Valencia is a truly beautiful city in a variety of different ways. The centre of the city is built around two lively squares, made up of old monuments, statues, restaurants, and constant buzz of passing tourists. The surrounding streets are full of character and are brought to life by the detail of their design, the classical Valencian balconies, and the numerous restaurants. The Turia park is another incredible feature of the city. It used to be a large river flowing through the centre of the city, but people decided to drain it after serious floods in the 1950s. Now, it is a riverbed, which has been converted into a lush garden, where people go to escape the city, exercise and relax.

Really enjoyed my week at this school. Teachers are very enthusiastic and the school is very social with activities. I like that the lessons switch during the week Between morning and afternoon. So not every lesson is in the morning or afternoon. Acces to the ‘virtual aula’ and more learning contents is definitely a plus. My size group was perfect, 7 people. But I also saw larger classes, which I think are too big for interactive learning

I enjoyed my classes at the Taronja school. I had nice teachers (Ne, Sa, Ya) and learned a lot of Spanish. I got a lot of attention from the teachers, the interns and the organizing staff. There are a lot of younger students (18-30) but I am sure middle-aged or older students have a lot of fun as well. I felt a little bit like back in school 18 years ago. I enjoyed this feeling.There are many activities during the week. You get the chance to talk a lot of Spanish (if you want to talk Spanish). I can't understand most bad recommendations. If you want high-educated native speakers with classes of 4 persons and the very same Spanish level someone has to tell me a country in Europe where you get this below 800 Euros a week! The price-performance ratio is very good, in my opinion. I am sure for the money you pay you get a Spanish boost and a good time (I can't say anything about the accommodations, because I stayed somewhere private). I sometimes have the feeling that in the eyes of foreigners spanish teachers and staff are expected to work for small salaries (instead of a fair salaries). Maybe this is something to reflect on and everybody is free to invest in private lessons. The new school building is very, very nice! I strongly recommend this school (also for students older than 30)!

Замечательная школа Брала две недели уроков испанского языка, они просто пролетели за одно мгновение) Школа потрясающая-современные аудитории, индивидуальный подход, на протяжении всего обучения ощущается мощная поддержка, как будто оказываешься в кругу семьи. После занятий (а они идут зиг-загом, то есть в один день можно отоспаться подольше, а в другой день наборот-встать пораньше и посмотреть закат на пляже, к примеру. Сам город тоже очень интересный, есть множество мест, которые стоит посетить-например, по воскресеньям все муниципальные музеи бесплатны.
Жила в квартире, предложенной от школы, она располагалась в самом центре и в 10 минутах ходьбы от самой школы-очень удобно.Также в школе есть огромная вариация культурных мероприятий-после учебы не заскучаешь 🙂 Можно сходить послушать песни на испанскомкаждый вторник это вечера паэльи, когда собирается вместе вся школаеженедельные экскурсии по городу. В общем, замечательная школа и собираюсь сюда вернуться еще ни раз!!

much more than a school Die Schule ist sehr zentral gelegen. Ich fühlte mich von Anfang an rundum wohl. Die Gestaltung der Räume hat mich sehr angesprochen. Alle Mitarbeiter machten einen sehr zufriedenen Eindruck und der Ablauf war sehr gut organisiert. Mein Lernerfolg war nach zwei Wochen höher als in einer vergleichbaren Schule. Die Leher und Lehrerinnen waren engagiert und jeder konnte seine Talente mit einbringen. Sie arbeiten nicht mit einem Arbeitsbuch sondern haben ein eigenes Konzept und eigene Skripte. Neben dem Unterricht wurden tolle Aktivitäten angeboten. Ich komme wieder.
