ESTAR CELOSO o TENER ENVIDIA

¿Sabes distinguir entre los celos y la envidia? En este lección te explicamos las diferencias.   Tener celos o estar celoso: Sospechar, estar inquieto o inquieta  porque la persona ha puesto su cariño en otra persona.  Ejemplo: Alejandro llama por teléfono a su amigo Víctor.–    Víctor, he discutido con mi novia otra vez. Sergio la llama por teléfono todo el tiempo. No lo soporto.–    ¿Otra vez tienes celos de Sergio? Es el mejor amigo de su hermano, y además tiene novia.–    Lo sé, es una tontería. Pero no puedo evitar estar celoso. Tener envidia o ser un envidioso: Desear alguna cosa que tiene otra persona.Ejemplo: Maria y Clara están tomando un café.–    Clara, ¡a Ana le ha tocado la lotería!–    ¿Otra vez ? ¡Siempre gana premios! Tiene mucho dinero y nunca nos invita a nada.–    Clara, ¡no tienes que tener envidia! –    No soy envidiosa, en este caso es la verdad.

¿Cuándo usamos el Pretérito perfecto o indefinido en español?

Una de las dificultades comunes entre los estudiantes de español es saber diferenciar cuándo usar el Pretérito Perfecto y el Indefinido. PRETÉRITO PERFECTO Usamos el «Pretérito Perfecto» cuando hablamos de acciones o cosas relacionadas con el presente: el día, la semana, el mes, la Navidad. Por ejemplo: He trabajado mucho esta semana / I have worked a lot this week. «Esta semana», todavía no ha acabado la semana. PRETÉRITO INDEFINIDO Usamos el «Indefinido» cuando no estamos hablando de acciones o cosas relacionadas con el presente: un día, una semana, un mes, una Navidad, en 1984, esa vez, ayer. (La información no está relacionada con el presente. Se termina) Algunas palabras que nos indican el uso del «Pretérito Perfecto» son: Hoy. A las 4, a las 6.Esta mañana, Esta tarde, Esta semana.Este mes, Este año.Este invierno, Este otoño.Todavía no, aun no, ya.Hasta ahora.En mi vida.Nunca.Por fin.Siempre.¿Alguna vez? / ¿Cuántas veces? The common signal words that indicate the “Indefinido” are: Ayer, Anteayer. El otro día.Anoche, Anteanoche.La semana pasada.El mes, el año pasado.En + año/mes.Hace+ cantidad de tiempo + que + indefinido.

I had a fantastic experience at Taronja, I was only there a week, but cannot believe how much my Spanish has improved from a very basic level. I spent a fantastic week at Taronja in May 2019. The booking process was really straightforward (and I appreciated being able to sort out my accommodation through the school too) albeit a little embarrassing when recording a video of myself to have my level assessed 🙈. The booking information I received indicated that someone would be there to greet me at the accommodation upon arrival, but this wasn't the case – I didn't mind though because I'm a grown up and don't really need looking out for like that. The teachers and supporting staff were really friendly and helpful. The classes were challenging and taught entirely in Spanish, which I think is really beneficial and, for the level I was at (~B1), falling back to English shouldn't really be necessary. In the week I was there we alternated between days studying grammar (the present subjunctive) and more 'relaxing' days where we dived deeper into other topics such as ser/estar and por/para (though I would have been happier doing even more grammar studies, but maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment). I think what really stood out about my week at Taronja was the effort put into the social activities. There were things to do every evening and a weekend excursion had been organized too (but unfortunately I had to fly home that day and couldn't attend), so even if you arrive as a solo learner/traveller, you'll be able to find people to hang out with fairly quickly. In case it isn't clear, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend studying at Taronja, however I feel that attending for 1 week simply wasn't enough. Many of the people I met were staying for any amount of time from 3 weeks to 3 months. It's for this reason that I intend to return to Taronja next month for 2 weeks to try and really press on with improving my Spanish (and escape the miserable Dutch summer).

Very Worthwhile It's been 50 years since I went to 'school' and it was with much trepidation that I booked to go to the Taronja school. I had imagined that I would be the old man amongst youngsters in the class, but although I was the oldest there, I found we represented a good cross section of ages.
The first couple of hours in class was rather difficult, but that was because I felt a long way behind the other students regarding ability. There were 2 reasons for this, firstly the first subject of the day was about regular and irregular verbs, which is, at least for me and some of the others, difficult, but I soon began to make headway thanks to the excellent teacher. Secondly, I really should have attended the previous week as well; purely my mistake when I booked online.
When I look back at the week at the Taronja school and the amount I have learnt I am very impressed and I would go back for more but unfortunately it's a very long way from home and being a family man I just can't justify it but if it was within daily travelling distance I would be happy to spend many weeks there. I am considering using their online courses, but we'll see.
For anybody thinking about going to the Taronja school, just do it!

I really enjoyed my time at Taronja. For me everything came together for a fantastic experience. The teachers and teaching methods are great, the school has a great atmosphere where one rapidly feels comfortable and part of what is happening. The mix of different ages is also fantastic, it is great to get so much intergenerational contact. Finally, Valencia is a fantastic city; a nice size, loads of things going on, and I would almost say that it has a spirit.

Nothing but positive things to say about Taronja I've spent 3 weeks at Taronja and i have nothing but positive things to say about the school. All of the lessons are really engaging and the staff incredibly helpful, friendly and patient (vital when trying to teach me a foreign language!). I'm in my mid 40's and what i particularly like is how well the school is geared up for students of all ages. Cracking stuff all round.

Great experience I went to this solo for 1 week. I wanted to try it first and then extend to 2 more weeks.
(when you extend you need to do it early in the week or risk all spots getting full)
Complete beginner intensive course, I was in a class of 7 people of various ages.
4 young teachers - enthusiastic and made the classes fun. When you have 4 hours (with 1 break of 20m) it's a good thing to make them fun, otherwise you will get bored and lose focus.
I can't say much about if the structure of the lessons was optimal or not, it worked for me, I was able to speak with people for a little bit after only one week without studying extra at home.
And again, they make it fun, if they just give you the top 100 verbs and conjugation for all of them and ask you to repeat them for 4 hours - it might be more effective but it would bore you to tears and you could easily do that on your own.
The best part for me was also to meet different people there from all over the world. The school has daily extra activities that you can optionally attend to and there you get to meet them.
