Hombre

La palabra «hombre», en España, no sólo sirve para hacer referencia a un individuo adulto del sexo masculino, sino que en muchas expresiones se utiliza para reforzar diferentes significados. Si estamos hablando con una mujer, podemos sustituir la palabra «hombre» por «mujer». Aunque no es raro que escuchéis las expresiones con «hombre» para dirigirse a mujeres.

Adjetivos que cambian de significado

En español hay algunos adjetivos que cambian su significado si acompañan al verbo SER o al verbo ESTAR. ¿Quieres aprender algunos? -LISTO: Ser listo = inteligente (clever) Estar listo = preparado (ready) -FRESCO: Ser fresco = sin vergüenza (shameless) Estar fresco = del día (fresh) -MALO: Ser malo = malvado (evil) Estar malo = enfermo (ill) -BUENO: Ser bueno = portarse bien (to be nice) Estar bueno = ser atractivo (to be hot)

Cuando + indicativo, cuando + subjuntivo

En esta lección de español os queremos explicar las diferencias entre las estructuras «cuando + indicativo» y «cuando + subjuntivo». 1. usamos CUANDO + INDICATIVE para hablar de una acción o rutina que no es en el futuro. Por ejemplo: Cuando toco la guitarra, soy feliz / Cuando iba a la escuela, veía a mis amigos. 2. Usamos CUANDO + SUBJUNTIVO para hablar de acciones en el futuro: Por ejemplo: Cuando tenga dinero, me compraré una casa grande / Cuando cumplas 18 años te compraré una moto.

Meter la pata significa cometer un error o decir algo inoportuno. Sinónimos de la expresión «meter la pata«: equivocarse, errar, desacertar, fallar, confundirse, marrar, patinar Orígen de la expresión «meter la pata«: la explicación más probable, si bien hay alguna otra, es que está expresión esté relacionada con el mundo de la caza. En español llamamos «pata» a las extremidades de los animales. Por eso cuando un animal mete la pata en una trampa de un cazador, ha cometido un error. Ha metido la pata.

un lugar donde ¡puedes sobresalir! Mi segunda estancia con Taronja solo duró una semana, pero, de nuevo, me di cuenta de que la calidad de los profesores (en mi caso, las profesoras, Desiré y Sara) es muy buena. Estaban dedicadas y profesionales.Tanto los profesores como los administradores son siempre muy amables. Intentan ayudarte y apoyarte todos los días. Hola! Before I arrived to Taronja I knew that I loved the city but I did´nt know much about the school. It did´nt take long before I started to love the school as much as I loved Valencia. The school, the classes and the teachers were fun, friendly and helpful. Besides the regular courses there was always something else to do - great activities with great people to do them with. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it and currently planning my next one. This is a school I would recomend to anyone Nos vemos pronto, hasta luego!

Great experience I went to this solo for 1 week. I wanted to try it first and then extend to 2 more weeks.
(when you extend you need to do it early in the week or risk all spots getting full)
Complete beginner intensive course, I was in a class of 7 people of various ages.
4 young teachers - enthusiastic and made the classes fun. When you have 4 hours (with 1 break of 20m) it's a good thing to make them fun, otherwise you will get bored and lose focus.
I can't say much about if the structure of the lessons was optimal or not, it worked for me, I was able to speak with people for a little bit after only one week without studying extra at home.
And again, they make it fun, if they just give you the top 100 verbs and conjugation for all of them and ask you to repeat them for 4 hours - it might be more effective but it would bore you to tears and you could easily do that on your own.
The best part for me was also to meet different people there from all over the world. The school has daily extra activities that you can optionally attend to and there you get to meet them.

This is a really good school for learning spanish and its great for all agegroups. They also organize a lot of fun and intresting events/excursions outside school so you can meet people and practise your spanish. I recommend it! 🌞

The school is located in the center of the city and easy to reach by public transportation or by walking. Everybody at the office is friendly and very helpful, they listen and understand your needs. They help you not only with school stuff but also with the matters of daily life and culture. Teachers are always prepared for the classes and they teach with an effective fun way. They understand your level and find out a way to make you understand and learn in a supportive way. Modern methods like internet and interactive whiteboard are used during the classes , which make the lessons flow easily. Grammar , reading, conversation, listening are well balanced. In a week different teachers are teaching in any given class that provides different styles, techniques and accents. Besides regular classes there are more classes to choose from ( like conversation ) according to one’s needs. Every week there are some activities, day trips and social gatherings so one can learn and experience more about the culture. The timetable of classes is constantly rotating hereby assigning a morning class on a day and an afternoon class on another day. Altogether it makes learning Spanish and Spanish culture easy, fun and effective process. Additionally Valencia is a very beautiful city with lovely locals. The city offers almost everything.
