Expresiones en español: Meter la pata

Meter la pata significa cometer un error o decir algo inoportuno. Sinónimos de la expresión «meter la pata«: equivocarse, errar, desacertar, fallar, confundirse, marrar, patinar Orígen de la expresión «meter la pata«: la explicación más probable, si bien hay alguna otra, es que está expresión esté relacionada con el mundo de la caza. En español llamamos «pata» a las extremidades de los animales. Por eso cuando un animal mete la pata en una trampa de un cazador, ha cometido un error. Ha metido la pata.

IR y VENIR, cómo se usan en español

El verbo IR y el verbo VENIR son muy parecidos pero tienen significados diferentes en español. ¿Quieres conocer las diferencias? El verbo VENIR expresa el movimiento de quien viene al lugar en el que yo (el hablante) estoy: Juan viene aquí (el sitio donde yo estoy). El verbo IR también expresa movimiento, pero movimiento desde donde yo estoy hacia otro lugar: Voy a la escuela (desde aquí, donde estoy, hasta la escuela, que es un lugar diferente).

Taronja Ich habe im September einen vierwöchigen Sprachaufenthalt in Valencia an der Taronja Sprachschule verbracht. Es war nicht mein erster Besuch an einer Sprachschule und ich muss wirklich zugeben, dass es vom Lernniveau bisher die beste war. Die Lehrer sind alle studierte Sprachwissenschaftlicher, aber trotzdem nicht älter als 35, sprechen meistens mehr als 3-4 Sprachen fliesend, setzen sich aktiv mit den Schülern auseinander und das innerhalb sowie außerhalb der Stunden. Die nicht nach einem Buch oder Lehrplan ausgerichtete Lernmethode ist wirklich unfassbar effektiv und man macht innerhalb kürzester Zeit erhebliche Fortschritte.
Auch außerhalb der Schulstunden probiert die Schule das Rundumsorglospaket zu ermöglichen, jeden Tag andere Aktivitäten, kulturell sowie interaktiv und damit meine ich nicht dieses typische get-together in einer Bar und fertig, sondern wirklich coole Aktivitäten zu unschlagbar günstigen Preisen.
Insgesamt kann ich nur jedem empfehlen sich für diese Schule zu entscheiden.

I had an absolutely amazing time at Taronja!! I loved my four weeks here (May-June 2019)! I felt that I managed to learn loads in the short time that I was here - the school was very professional and organised, providing lots of excellent resources to aid learning! The lessons were very interactive and always lots of fun - loads of opportunities to practise speaking! Also, the social side was superb - every day there was at least one optional social activity organised, often more! I would love to return one day in the future! A big thank you to all the amazing people here! 🙂

I took classes at Taronja for three weeks in October and can highly recommend the school. I cannot imagine there being a better school. I scouted for months before making the decision and was so glad I had chosen Taronja. There are several points which make it such a good school. - the highly motivated and friendly teachers - there effort at getting everyone to speak Spanish only, which of course speeds up your acqusition of the language - the extracurricular activities are not only interesting, but help increase your language skills and keep you busy (if you are alone, it's nice to have something to keep you active especially the first week when you don't know your way around yet) I will definitely take more classes here. I recommend saving yourself all the time needed for researching the internet. You have made the right decision with Taronja! My greetings to everyone there. Linda

I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 weeks at Taronja ( intensive course sept.-nov. 2017). After two years of studying Spanish at university, I by far made the biggest jump in my level of Spanish at Taronja. The classes are a good mix of grammar and culture, taught by enthusiastic teachers. In a short period of time, my speaking and understanding of grammar improved dramatically, as well as my general confidence using Spanish. The school also arranges a wide variety of interesting and fun activities that all involve present the opportunity to practise Spanish, to some extent. Valencia itself is the perfect city, with something for everyone of all ages. I could not speak higher of the school and my time there, I really do recommend Taronja, and I cannot wait to go back later on this summer!

Taronja I followed an intensive spanish course at Taronja for 4 weeks and i wish i stayed longer. I had the best time ever and I'm going back this year. The teachers are extremely friendly, the school is small but really nice and the activities were amazing. On the weekends, there are trips to other cities or places and throughout the week, the school organises other activities like paella evenings, city tours or cooking classes. The appartment i stayed in, was clean and big. I have no complaints at all and had the best summer vacation ever
