¿Sabes distinguir entre los celos y la envidia? En este lección te explicamos las diferencias.  

Tener celos o estar celoso: Sospechar, estar inquieto o inquieta  porque la persona ha puesto su cariño en otra persona.  
Ejemplo: Alejandro llama por teléfono a su amigo Víctor.
–    Víctor, he discutido con mi novia otra vez. Sergio la llama por teléfono todo el tiempo. No lo soporto.
–    ¿Otra vez tienes celos de Sergio? Es el mejor amigo de su hermano, y además tiene novia.
–    Lo sé, es una tontería. Pero no puedo evitar estar celoso.

Tener envidia o ser un envidioso: Desear alguna cosa que tiene otra persona.
Ejemplo: Maria y Clara están tomando un café.
–    Clara, ¡a Ana le ha tocado la lotería!
–    ¿Otra vez ? ¡Siempre gana premios! Tiene mucho dinero y nunca nos invita a nada.
–    Clara, ¡no tienes que tener envidia!
–    No soy envidiosa, en este caso es la verdad.

Significados del adjetivo GRANDE

El adjetivo GRANDE tiene un significado diferente en español, dependiendo de si va antes o después del sustantivo al que acompaña: «Un GRAN chico» —> Significa buena calidad: «A great boy» «Un chico GRANDE» —> Significa tamaño: «A big boy»

¿Mayúsculas o minúsculas? ¿Cómo se usan?

Muchos os confundís a la hora de utilizar las minúsculas y las mayúsculas en español. Entrad y leed, os damos unos consejos.  1) se escribe en MAYÚSCULA: •    la primera palabra de un escrito, o la que aparece después de un punto. Por ejemplo: “Ayer fui con Ana a la playa y nos lo pasamos muy bien. Hoy no sé lo que haré.” •    la palabra que sigue a la fórmula de encabezamiento o saludo de una carta o correo electrónico. Por ejemplo: “Estimado señor García:Mañana no podré asistir a la cita concertada…” •    la palabra que sigue a los puntos suspensivos cuando estos cierran el enunciado. Por ejemplo: “Había pan, mermelada, mantequilla, queso, jamón… Todo estaba buenísimo.” •    La primera palabra de un enunciado que sigue a una oración interrogativa o exclamativa. Por ejemplo: ¿Qué día es hoy? No me acuerdo.¡Qué guapo estabas en la fiesta! Tu traje era precioso. 2) se escriben en MINÚSCULA:•    los cargos y las  profesiones, independientemente del nombre o la organización a la que acompañen, a diferencia de otras lenguas como el inglés, o el alemán.Por ejemplo: “su majestad el rey Juan Carlos”“el presidente de los EE.UU. ““el director general del banco Santander…”“la ministra, Ana Mato…” Así que cuando escribas una carta al director de una empresa, escribe su cargo en minúscula y ¡ATENCIÓN! ¡no olvides los dos puntos! Estimado director:  (correcto) Estimado director,  (incorrecto) Esperamos que os haya servido. ¡Hasta la próxima semana!

Expresiones en español con CAÑA

La “caña” es el tallo de un tipo de planta (gramíneas): es alargado y hueco por dentro, como la del bambú; aunque la palabra “caña” también tiene otros significados… ¡UNA CAÑA POR FAVOR!  ¡NO, MEJOR DOS!Cuando en España vamos a un bar y queremos una cerveza podemos pedirla en botella o bote, pero también tenemos la opción de pedir un vaso de cerveza: pedimos “una caña”. ME HE COMPRADO UNAS BOTAS DE CAÑA ALTA EN LAS REBAJAS   También utilizamos “caña” cuando hablamos de botas: si llegan hasta la rodilla son botas “de caña alta”, y si solo llegan hasta la mitad de la pierna son botas de “media caña”. ¡DALE CAÑA!    También tenemos la expresión “dar caña” o “meter caña”, que significa <<aumentar la velocidad cuando haces algo, darse prisa>> : Si no te das caña no podrás acabar el trabajo.Aunque también puede significar <<hablar mal de alguien>>. ¡QUÉ CAÑA!   Y una de las más importantes: cuando queremos expresar nuestra admiración o sorpresa por algo, decimos “¡Qué caña!” Así que ya sabéis, tenemos «caña» para todos. Amazing summer learning Spanish with Taronja I was here for two months in summer and had a really positive experience. I actually booked only for one month but ended up extending for an extra month. The classes were fun, interesting, and I felt comfortable talking, learning, (and making mistakes), with my classmates mad teachers. You need an intital assesment of your spanish skills (quick questionnaire, and a couple of minutes speaking) and then get placed into a class for your level. However, if it is too difficult, or easy, there is no problem with changing class, and I found the staff, and the headteacher, Jenny, very friendly and easy to talk to, and always happy to help with anything.
It is easy to make friends, which is important if you are coming here on your own (like me) and there were social acitivties every night. These ranged from paella nights, language exchanges, and generally drinking and socialising. Always fun. I was here in summer which would offer a bigger social life compared to low-season/ winter etc.
The lessons are varied and you use handouts, quiz games, group tasks, videos, songs, etc, in order to learn in a varied way.
I would recommend to anyone who values a more fun and social atmosphere to learn and I definitely feel like I improved a lot. In 2 months, I went from a low A2, to a B1 level, and I had a lot of practice actually speaking the Spanish that I had learned.

Ausgezeichnete Sprachschule Ich hatte 1 Woche Intensivkurs mit 1 Std. Konversationsworkshop gebucht. Bei Anmeldung musste ein Einstufungstest (schriftlich und mündlich per Handy-Video oder Telefonat) ausgefüllt werden. Am ersten Tag gab es ein erstes Treffen, bei dem die Kurseinteilung erfolgte und die Organisation der Schule erklärte wurde. Unterricht war vormittags (9-12.45 Uhr) und nachmittags (14.30-18.15 Uhr) im täglichen Wechsel, dazu Konversation etwa von 13.30-14.30 Uhr (nur in der ersten Woche inklusive). Gruppengröße offiziell bis 10 Personen, meist waren aber nur 5-6 anwesend. Zusammensetzung international, Alter von 18 bis Ü70, wobei die Jüngeren meist über mehrere Monate bleiben. Ich war im Fortgeschrittenen-Kurs (B2) und habe viel gelernt, insbesondere meine Unsicherheit beim Sprechen konnte ich überwinden. Die Stimmung war ausgezeichnet, wir haben viel gelacht, über alle möglichen Themen geredet und lernten auch viele Wörter der Umgangssprache.
Jeden Abend fanden verschiedene Aktivitäten statt, bei denen man sich mit anderen Studenten und den Lehrern austauschen konnte (ebenfalls fast ausschließlich auf Spanisch). Auch am Wochenende wurden Ausflüge angeboten. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

Amazing school that is well managed and organized. Teachers are well prepared and engaged. School is also organizing extracurricular activities which are either educational or fun and I enjoyed both types. I had also opportunity to stay in one of the school shared flats. They are simple but clean and perfect for the time of stay. I highly recommend! If I could, I would definitely stay at school for a few months. I hope to be back at some point and do another course.

The school is located in the center of the city and easy to reach by public transportation or by walking. Everybody at the office is friendly and very helpful, they listen and understand your needs. They help you not only with school stuff but also with the matters of daily life and culture. Teachers are always prepared for the classes and they teach with an effective fun way. They understand your level and find out a way to make you understand and learn in a supportive way. Modern methods like internet and interactive whiteboard are used during the classes , which make the lessons flow easily. Grammar , reading, conversation, listening are well balanced. In a week different teachers are teaching in any given class that provides different styles, techniques and accents. Besides regular classes there are more classes to choose from ( like conversation ) according to one’s needs. Every week there are some activities, day trips and social gatherings so one can learn and experience more about the culture. The timetable of classes is constantly rotating hereby assigning a morning class on a day and an afternoon class on another day. Altogether it makes learning Spanish and Spanish culture easy, fun and effective process. Additionally Valencia is a very beautiful city with lovely locals. The city offers almost everything. Thank you all so much.

Amazing intensive course, great online course too. Upbeat & interactive lessons and friendly staff, thank you to Jenny and the team. Legendary social program - meticulously organised, you will never be bored. I spoke no Spanish prior, then learnt tons with Taronja, whilst having tons of fun too! The worst bit is when you have to leave... I'll be trying studying Spanish with a different school in London where I live now, (only because I want to study in person with a bigger group again), but whatever school I pick has a lot to live up to... Taronja was one of the best things I ever spent my money on - I'll probably go back someday!

Great experience I went to this solo for 1 week. I wanted to try it first and then extend to 2 more weeks.
(when you extend you need to do it early in the week or risk all spots getting full)
Complete beginner intensive course, I was in a class of 7 people of various ages.
4 young teachers - enthusiastic and made the classes fun. When you have 4 hours (with 1 break of 20m) it's a good thing to make them fun, otherwise you will get bored and lose focus.
I can't say much about if the structure of the lessons was optimal or not, it worked for me, I was able to speak with people for a little bit after only one week without studying extra at home.
And again, they make it fun, if they just give you the top 100 verbs and conjugation for all of them and ask you to repeat them for 4 hours - it might be more effective but it would bore you to tears and you could easily do that on your own.
The best part for me was also to meet different people there from all over the world. The school has daily extra activities that you can optionally attend to and there you get to meet them.

No Regrets! Ero alla ricerca di un'esperienza estiva differente, qualcosa che potesse permettermi di accrescere il mio bagaglio culturale e perché no di crescere, conoscere gente migliorare una lingua che sempre mi ha affascinato, così ho deciso: me ne vado in Spagna, a Valencia (ne ho sentito parlare così tanto che mi son detto devo assolutamente andarci). Così inizio la mia ricerca di scuole, ne vedo un pò inizio a fare le prime indagini perché comunque si vuol sempre andare in un posto che ti faccia star bene, ne vedo una, due però nessuna che mi abbia fatto scattare la "scintilla" finché non mi imbatto nella scuola TARONJA, inizio a visitare il loro sito a leggere un pò di recensioni cosi li contatto, è che dire i piccoli dettagli fanno la differenza, assistenza e cordialità fin da subito, dalla prima email è cosi ho deciso che è qui che avrei passato le mie 2 settimane. Un'esperienza stupenda che porterò sempre con me, che non vedo l'ora di ripetere il prima possibile. In Taronja si respira un ambiente familiare, tutto lo staff è sempre disponibile, simpatico e meritano un sentito complimento. I prof sono tutti giovani quindi imparare e migliorarsi diventa molto più facile. Cosa fondamentale sono le attività organizzate dalla scuola avrete sempre qualcosa da fare e non è mai qualcosa di noioso! Sono felicissimo della mia scelta!
