En español no se puede decir UN OTRO

Un error muy frecuente entre los estudiantes de español es decir UN OTRO. Con esta explicación no volveréis a cometerlo. 

En español, delante del adjetivo OTRO, OTRA, OTROS, OTRAS nunca podemos poner en artículo indefinido (un, una, unos, unas). Este es un error que todos los estudiantes de español cometéis con mucha frecuencia y que  debéis corregir, porque suena muy mal.

NO decimos: Dame un otro mapa; decimos: Dame otro mapa, que es la manera correcta. Aprovechamos, también, para recordar que la palabra MAPA es masculina y que, por lo tanto, es el mapa y no la mapa.

¿Mayúsculas o minúsculas? ¿Cómo se usan?

Muchos os confundís a la hora de utilizar las minúsculas y las mayúsculas en español. Entrad y leed, os damos unos consejos.  1) se escribe en MAYÚSCULA: •    la primera palabra de un escrito, o la que aparece después de un punto. Por ejemplo: “Ayer fui con Ana a la playa y nos lo pasamos muy bien. Hoy no sé lo que haré.” •    la palabra que sigue a la fórmula de encabezamiento o saludo de una carta o correo electrónico. Por ejemplo: “Estimado señor García:Mañana no podré asistir a la cita concertada…” •    la palabra que sigue a los puntos suspensivos cuando estos cierran el enunciado. Por ejemplo: “Había pan, mermelada, mantequilla, queso, jamón… Todo estaba buenísimo.” •    La primera palabra de un enunciado que sigue a una oración interrogativa o exclamativa. Por ejemplo: ¿Qué día es hoy? No me acuerdo.¡Qué guapo estabas en la fiesta! Tu traje era precioso. 2) se escriben en MINÚSCULA:•    los cargos y las  profesiones, independientemente del nombre o la organización a la que acompañen, a diferencia de otras lenguas como el inglés, o el alemán.Por ejemplo: “su majestad el rey Juan Carlos”“el presidente de los EE.UU. ““el director general del banco Santander…”“la ministra, Ana Mato…” Así que cuando escribas una carta al director de una empresa, escribe su cargo en minúscula y ¡ATENCIÓN! ¡no olvides los dos puntos! Entering the school through a beautiful massive and decorative door (on a street where you’d love to have your coffee and lunchbreaks), the inside will surprise you even more: an explosion of colours, art and atmosphere. And that’s what the teachers carry out too: such passion and enthusiasm. But the learning doesn’t stop as soon as class comes to an end. Taronja organises plenty of very fun, optional activities. In the afternoon, evening and even in the weekends. No chance to get bored here… I’m going to stay longer!

My experience at Taronja Spending eight weeks learning Spanish in Valencia has been a rewarding experience. When I first arrived here, I had a patchy understanding of how basic Spanish grammar works, which gave me a false sense of confidence coming into the country. I was placed into a class that was far too advanced for my level, and I quickly discovered that my listening and speaking skills were practically non-existent. It is fair to say that I was completely baffed in my first week of lessons. I eventually moved down two groups, so I could work on my listening and speaking skills. This level was much more enjoyable, as I wasn’t in a permanent state of confusion. I have noticed my progress continue to grow steadily over the weeks. Now, I feel like I have enough Spanish to get by on my own and develop my skill independently. Understanding street chit-chat is becoming easier, watching Spanish T.V. is becoming more enjoyable, and I can usually interpret written texts.
The teachers at Taronja are young, fun and competent people. Rather than forcing us to fill out boring and repetitive exercise sheets, they make learning more enjoyable by providing innovative activities and games to keep the classroom engaged. The timetable is constantly rotating, so we can benefit from various styles and techniques of each teacher.
Valencia is a truly beautiful city in a variety of different ways. The centre of the city is built around two lively squares, made up of old monuments, statues, restaurants, and constant buzz of passing tourists. The surrounding streets are full of character and are brought to life by the detail of their design, the classical Valencian balconies, and the numerous restaurants. The Turia park is another incredible feature of the city. It used to be a large river flowing through the centre of the city, but people decided to drain it after serious floods in the 1950s. Now, it is a riverbed, which has been converted into a lush garden, where people go to escape the city, exercise and relax.

I’ve studied at Taronja in Valencia for almost 3 weeks now and I already don’t want to leave. The teachers are nice and I felt really welcomed since I first stepped trough the schools doors! Outside of school there are activities organised by the school almost everyday. So don’t bring too many books with you, there will be enough to do here 😉

I did a 3 week summer Spanish course in the school.
I highly recommend. I'm a teacher myself and was very impressive by the communicative methods and the quality of the teaching.
The school offers a wonderful Co curricular programme and we really enjoyed the activities, including a tapas crawl and lots of cultural events plus a beach party.
Totally recommended.

Une super expérience Etudier l'espagnol au sein de Taronja School est une super expérience ! Les cours qui y sont dispensés sont d'une grande qualité ; les professeurs sont toujours à l'écoute des élèves. Au travers des différentes activités proposées l'on rencontre des gens très sympathiques. J'ai vraiment adoré cette école de langue et compte bien y retourner !

I would like to thank everyone for the experience! I really needed to improve the grammar, and I think this school was the first one where I could really feel some improvement (even though I was there for only two weeks). And they have many nice activities, so, you'll always have interesting options for how to spend your time outside the classroom. Another nice thing about the school is that they change the time of your classes during the high season (which is summer), so, you'll be able to have mornings and evenings free depending on the day. You also get to have classes with different teachers, cause they change every week, and then during one week you'll have two different ones. So, that's good too. Nice school! Definitely worth considering if you are thinking of learning Spanish in Valencia.
