La palabra «hombre», en España, no sólo sirve para hacer referencia a un individuo adulto del sexo masculino, sino que en muchas expresiones se utiliza para reforzar diferentes significados. Si estamos hablando con una mujer, podemos sustituir la palabra «hombre» por «mujer». Aunque no es raro que escuchéis las expresiones con «hombre» para dirigirse a mujeres. ¡Esperamos que os guste!

El verbo DOLER. ¿Cómo se utiliza?

El verbo doler tiene un uso particular que confunde a muchos estudiantes de español. Aquí te explicamos su uso.  Lo principal es saber que este verbo se comporta igual que GUSTAR. Lo importante no es la persona, sino la cosa. Nos explicamos. Por ejemplo: (A mí) ME GUSTA el chocolate / (A vosotros) OS DUELE la cabeza (A ti) TE GUSTAN los coches / (A él) LE DUELEN los pies (A nosotros) NO NOS GUSTA el fútbol / (A ellos) NO LES DUELE la mano Fijaos que el verbo GUSTAR / DOLER, en estas oraciones, concuerda en número con «chocolate», «coches», «cabeza», etc. GUSTA / chocolate CUSTAN / coches DUELEN / pies DUELE / mano Esto es porque el sujeto de la oración no somos nosotros, sino los sustantivos «chocolate», «cabeza», «pies», «mano»…  El chocolate (me) gusta a mí  Los chocolates (me) gustan a mí Esperamos que os haya quedado un poquito más claro… ¡Y que no os duela nada!

Las palabras homófonas son aquellas que se pronuncian igual pero tienen distintos significados. ¿Quieres conocer algunas? My experience with Taronja School in Valencia was a positive one without any exception. The teachers were very well-trained and well-prepared, the lessons in perfect-sized groups interesting as well as creatively organized and the activities varied, informative and entertaining. Furthermore the school offers a library as well as some DVDs to practice your spanish at home. Regarding any wish or request the employees of Taronja were more than willing to assist or to help. They were constantly trying their best to keep their students happy and satisfied. I highly recommend Taronja to everybody who wants to learn spanish in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with a lot of professionals to help you to reach your highest personal results in this new language.

4 week intensive course I spent 4 weeks at Taronja on their intensive course (20hrs/week with 4hrs of lessons each day). Class times alternated between the morning and afternoon which meant plenty of free time to enjoy the city. The teachers made sure lessons were interesting and varied, and organised lots of different activities during the evenings at which you were encouraged to practice speaking Spanish. I would highly recommend Taronja!

Taronja is a great Spanish school and also great fun! I have been to Taronja twice before, both times for 2 weeks of their intensive course. The course is for 20 lessons a week, over 4 hours each day Monday to Friday and there are also lots of cultural and social activities run by the school for students, normally without extra charges. These include cooking presentations at the school, cultural walks, lessons off-site at interesting locations, group outings to restaurants, bars and other attractions and cultural presentations at lunch-times as well as the weekly paella party for current and past students.
Teaching is done in small groups (6-10) of people with a similar level of Spanish and is done in a creative way and all in Spanish. As well as following a broad curriculum and working towards the standard learning levels, the lessons include a lot of fun activities and all sorts of diversions into exploring Spanish language and culture.
I can recommend this school very highly and Valencia is a beautiful city well-worth exploring. It is especially good during the Las Fallas festival 15-19 March each year and I will be returning to Taronja again this year 2019 to see it.

Great location in the cultural centre of Valencia with great amentities and transport. Modern well equiped school. Affordable and close by accomodation with great host. And most importantly a well structured and enjoyable learning experience.

2-week intensive course for beginners I made a huge progress during the two weeks (2016) full of modern multimedia classes, cooking lessons, sport&trips, city tours, movies and so many opportunities to listen&speak Spanish during lunch/dinner etc. The support and friendliness of the staff was amazing. Great location in the city center as well.

Taronja school has a very special atmosphere. Just being in the school is an immersive language leaning experience. The teachers are enthusiastic and great at engaging everyone in the lessons. As each lesson is with a different teacher, we experienced a range of teaching styles and ways of explaining the nuances of the language, which further improved our understanding. The students in the classes are varied too, of all backgrounds, ages and languages. Highly recommended. I hope to be able to return.
